Family First has been one of our best experiences. The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming. The owners, staff, and therapists are focused on providing solid solutions that meet each child's individual needs. Ms. Lex is a particular favorite of my girl. They have fun together while working on their tasks. She cares about my daughter and goes out of her way to show it. If you need therapy services to support your child, I would greatly suggest you investigate Family First Therapy in Lutz.

They were extremely pleasant, experienced, personable, and punctual. We had a wonderful experience and I am so thankful to have found Family First!
Kathy StackhouseFebruary 7, 2023We selected Family First from Google reviews because we were new to the area and had no recommendations. And we are blessed. Since late September, our granddaughter has been receiving OT from Lex twice a week. M loves her sessions and has made great strides in her skills which have carried over to school. Lex suggested that nonverbal M receive speech therapy and she’s had her first sessions with Natalie. Lex and Natalie worked together to make these sessions extremely successful. We look forward to future fun and improvement.
manasa kandadiNovember 9, 2022I highly recommend this therapy center! My son has been seeing Natalie (ST) and Alexis(OT) and couldn't be more happy with them. They have been caring and so patient with my son. When we brought my son here he resisted learning new activities but Alexis is always so calm and had great methods to distract and continue the session. She taught me techniques to work with my son at home and help him succeed. Few months ago, my son had little to no spontaneous words and now he's trying to say few words after seeing Natalie. It is beyond evident that they care a great deal about children and helping them succeed in their speech and development. Thank you so much!!

Our OT Lex and speech path Jenn both have great relationship with our daughter and have taught all of us so much! She smiles and dances as soon as she sees her therapists! We feel blessed that we found this facility.

He (and we) consider them friends, and we could not be more grateful for their above and beyond efforts into helping our little guy with his speech and occupational therapy. Each session is so helpful not only to him, but also us as parents, which is so crucial to kiddos' development. Bridget McNamaraSeptember 14, 2022I cannot begin to express my gratitude for this therapy office! My son has been coming here for speech and occupational therapy since February 2022. My experience, as the parent, has been nothing short of amazing. My son is nonverbal, but his big smile and excitement just pulling into the parking lot tells me how much he loves coming to therapy! The therapist are exceptional and care so much about the kids they service. The owner is accessible, responsive, and wonderful! We have had some insurance billing issue and she has worked diligently with my insurance and never asked us to stop coming or pay what my insurance was not paying properly to her business in the mean time. We came from another therapy office and I just wish I had found this place sooner! My son will be in therapy for the foreseeable future and I’m so happy to have found his new home! Best therapy office around!!!

She has helped him so much with his confidence, persistence, and tolerance. We are totally blown away by his improvement in on demand sounds in such a short time with Lindsay and her creative approaches to help him. You can just see all over him that he understands that she is going to help him talk. His willingness to try with her is something he was very hesitant to do with any of us before. He is making SO many more sounds during sessions now. Both therapists are just doing so much for his self confidence.

Truly cares about your child
“As a Momma of a boy DX’d with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), I knew we would be attending ALOT of speech therapy. Over the past 5 years, we have had pricey private sessions at a children’s hospital (All Children’s John Hopkins), small group speech therapy at a public school, small group/private lessons at a local university (USF), a speech therapy summer camp, and private lessons at two different independent therapist offices. Comparing all of these venues, our private lessons at Family First Therapy with Danielle Reed M.S. CCC-SLP were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and the best experience. The assessment and treatment were spot on. When one goal was reached, the next goal was cued up quickly. My son made more progress in one school year than he had in the two years prior. The best part is Danielle truly cares about your child and becomes a partner with you. If you are in the St. Pete area and are looking for an SLP, I highly recommend contacting Family First Therapy.”

“She worked with my son after he had surgery for his tongue tie. We had his speech evaluation done at John Hopkins and were told that we were looking at a minimum of 1 year of speech therapy. I ended up taking my son to Family First Therapy where Danille worked with him twice a week. With therapy and lots of practice at home, my son finished speech in about 4 months. It was always easy to communicate with her, express all my concerns and get answers to all my questions.
